What makes OAH unique?

Otonabee Animal Hospital, occupying its current location since 2008, was preceded by Rorke Veterinary House Call Services, which was established in 1996 as a strictly mobile practice. From the beginning, the emphasis has been on service to our clients, in particular, mobile service to their homes. We began with one doctor, one telephone, one pager, one vehicle, and limited resources. In the past several years, we have moved from an industrial area, where we practiced for 7 years, into our own brand-new hospital, added two associates and several support staff (see About Us) and have continued to maintain our prompt, in-home service. We offer pick-up and delivery service, both for patients and for pet supplies. We provide many of our clients with specially-ordered products, ensuring freshness of the foods you require by only stocking a small selection. The extra effort our staff puts in to help each client get exactly what they need has been one of our greatest accomplishments, and we are happy to continue to provide this benchmark level of service. Recognition of our high standard of care was achieved at the end of June 2008 by the successful completion of a rigorous assessment by the American Animal Hospital Association (AAHA). We are now the only clinic in our area to have accomplished this, and are determined, through the standards imposed by AAHA, to maintain this level of service to our clients and care to our patients. Our staff deserves high praise for their hard work and determination in completing this task.
