Dr. Rorke, the founder of our clinic, began working as a veterinarian in the Peterborough area in 1996 after a year or so in Manhattan, where she practiced in a small animal hospital on the Upper West Side. She is a graduate of the College of Veterinary Medicine at Cornell University in Ithaca, NY. She thoroughly enjoys the clients and patients she meets in our clinic and through our mobile service, which offers veterinary care to patients in their homes locally and sometimes an hour and more away from our base hospital. She shares her home with Buddy, a young orange cat adopted from the Peterborough Humane Society, who’s true to his name, and a 4 year old border collie, Tucker Too, also from the PHS. They are trying very hard to fill the void left after the passing of Mel (18), Oliver (11) and Tucker (14) within the last year or so. It’s a lively home now, as Buddy and Tucker still do not share the same concept of harmony in the home.
From the time Keri was a child, she knew she was different from most little
girls her age. Instead of wanting to skip or play dolls, she would be found
catering to the local strays or playing ball with a neighbor’s dog. Her love
of animals shines through at work, too. From the smallest kitten to the
largest dog, Keri always has time for a scratch on the chin, a pat on the
head and a kind word. Her life at home is just as busy. Between spending
time with her 24 year old son Darcy , needle felting, yoga and meditation,
she still finds time to pamper and take care of her tortoiseshell Kali-Kat
and her two birds Nova-Lee the conure and Mr Bo Janglez the cockatiel.
Keri has a particular interest in healing stones and crystals, she creates
her own essential oils and is currently working on completing her Reiki
Master degree.

Lindsay was very happy to join our team as a Practice Supervisor in 2004. She graduated with Honours from Sheridan College Animal Care Program in 1999. Her life dedicated to helping animals began as a child, volunteering and working at animal shelters for several years. Lindsay can either be found assisting our doctors in the clinic or with our mobile unit, and hers is usually the face you see when you come to pick up your animal after surgery. She is owned by her cat “Mimi” (formerly the Ptbo Humane Society mascot) who just would not live without Lindsay when she left her job with them to join us.

Lorraine has rescued and cared for animals her whole life. Apart from bringing abandoned or injured pets and wildlife home, her Saturday job was at a local hospital for birds of prey and a couple times a week she could be found helping out at the local veterinary clinic.
She qualified as a Veterinary Nurse in the UK in 1988. After working in small animal practice for some years, she went on to work as a Veterinary Nurse at The Donkey Sanctuary in Sidmouth, Devon for almost 20 more. In January 2005 Lorraine moved to Canada with her husband, their two children plus two dogs and cats.
The current furry family members are Cooper (a 14 year old feline), Daisie (a 3 year old mixed breed) and the most recent family member Poppy (approximately 2 year old rescued Covid puppy).
Apart from family and pets, Lorraine’s favourite pastimes include reading (especially crime fiction and historical mysteries), table top games and baking.
Lorraine enjoys interacting with patients and owners alike, you will see Lorraine in clinic as well as mobile home visits.

Krista graduated as an Registered Veterinary Technician from Algonquin College in 2008 and joined the OAH team in 2009. She has been around animals all her life, everything from pocket pets to to large farm animals. She currently shares her life with Charlotte, Jackson and Norman, her 3 cats, as well as her Boxer cross, Mace. She looks forward to working with your animals!

Loriane has always had a passion for animals and had the fortune of growing up with a few special friends including some reptiles and rodents as well as Ginger, Missy and Simba her feline companions. She now resides with Sampson and Sola her beloved cats as well as Peach, her adorable bunny. New to her flock is Katie, a Beagle mix she recently acquired from the local Humane Society. Loriane is a registered technician who graduated with Honours from St. Lawrence College’s Veterinary Technician program. She has always enjoyed learning new things and is eager to continue to learn as a part of the OAH team!

Hello, my name is Erin. I am the newest member of the Otonabee Team! I have been working as a Veterinary Receptionist for about three and a half years, and have been here at Otonabee Animal Hospital for about three months now. I have three pets of my own; Portia – a Miniature Australian Shepherd, Squirt – a Shih Tzu and Chewie the cat. I look forward to meeting all of you and your furry friends! 🙂

Marilyn joined our team in 2001, just after our clinic opened. She is one of the first voices you’ll hear in the morning, and one of our several caring voices calling for follow-up after your companion animal has visited with us for surgery or other procedures. She treats every client and patient in the same manner as she would want to be treated herself. Marilyn also holds the title of Handyman Extraordinaire, coming to the rescue when maintenance troubles arise. Marilyn’s two over-zealous dogs, Thelma and Louise (see our home page!), keep her busy when she isn’t working (except on Sundays when you’ll find them all relaxing watching Nascar).

Hi! I am Courtney, new to working in Veterinary Services. In the past I have worked in Customer Services and Child Care. I am thrilled to be apart of this team and continue to learn.
I have 3 fur babies at home, Milo my 5 year old Frenchie mix, Millie my 5 years old Pug mix, and Meiko my 1 year old cat. My wife and our fur family love spending our spare time outside, camping through Ontario Provincial Parks Spring-Fall is our favourite. I also love spending time with family and friends, especially my lovely 2 year old nephew Jaxton.
That is a little bit about me! I can’t wait to learn more about all of you and your fur babies!
